In this article, we will give instructions on how to set up a proxy in AdsPower.
Step-by-step instructions for setting up a proxy in AdsPower
To set up a proxy in AdsPower, do the following:
- Launch AdsPower.
- Click the “New profile” icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
- In the “Name” field, enter a name for the new profile. In the “Group” section, select the group to which the profile will belong (by default, the group without a proxy is selected)
- In the Proxy section, select the type of proxy you want to use: HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5.
- In the Host:Port field, enter the IP address and port of the proxy server separated by a colon, as well as the login and password in the corresponding fields.
You will find this proxy data in “Account” —> “Proxy general list” under your account on our website.
- Now check if the proxy is working. To do this, click on the “Check proxy” button next to the “Host:Port” field. You can check only HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies.
If the indicator is green, then the proxy is working. If it is red, then it is not working. Try checking if you entered the data correctly and if your rental period has been extended.
For example, the proxy is displayed in the list in your account, but the rental period has expired:
You need to extend the rental or use a proxy whose paid rental period has not yet expired:
- Click OK after successful verification.
The profile has been created. To start working with it, click on the “Open” button.
As you can see, setting up a profile to work through a proxy is not difficult.
