We have sold proxies for price monitoring since 2016, and pricing teams are among our steadiest clients. A price scraper that sends every request from a single IP is throttled within hours: e-commerce platforms spot the pattern, return blocks and captchas, or quietly show different prices to a suspected bot. Our answer is a large pool of IPs, per-request IP rotation and country and city targeting, so your pricing data matches the real prices that real customers see.
Three proxy types cover most price monitoring projects; the right proxy depends on how hard the target filters traffic. Pricing is charged per IP per month, not pay-per-GB, so bandwidth spikes never raise the bill.
Proxy type | Pricing from (USD/IP/month) | Best for |
|---|---|---|
Datacenter IPs (individual IPv4) | 1.40 | Price scraping, 50+ concurrent threads |
Residential proxies (premium IPv4) | 3.60 | Strict retailers with anti-bot systems |
Rotating proxies (dynamic) | 0.27 | Broad price checks across stores |
Shared IPv4 | 0.67 | Low-frequency monitoring requests |
Datacenter proxies are cheapest per request and fast enough for real-time collection on mid-size retailer sites, though marketplaces aggressively block their subnets first. Residential proxies cost more and last longer, because each proxy runs on an ISP IP address that looks like an ordinary home connection. Dynamic proxies rotate on a timer and give a new IP every few minutes, while static IPv4 holds sticky sessions when a cart or login is involved. Any order can be rotated from your dashboard or via API; HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 are supported everywhere.
Our clients buy proxies for price tracking in five scenarios:
Teams that monitor prices with automated price monitoring tools track prices around the clock, so your pricing analysts always have a spare proxy in every location.
Datacenter IPv4 handles volume and speed; residential proxies suit strict targets that check IP reputation. Most clients combine both and split traffic by target difficulty.
Roughly one IP per three to five parallel connections. For 10,000 SKUs checked hourly, 30 to 50 rotating IPs are usually enough. We help size the pool before purchase.
Indirectly. Reliable price monitoring proxies deliver clean pricing data, and clean data supports dynamic pricing strategies, faster pricing decisions and margins you can optimize per SKU.
